Senegal sits along the Atlantic coast at the western edge of West Africa, where more than four out of five people live among unreached people groups. Across many communities, there remains a need for a clear Gospel witness, discipleship, and locally led churches where believers can grow in their faith.
That is why the local church matters so deeply. A church is more than a place to meet, it becomes a spiritual home where believers can grow, leaders can be raised up, and the hope of Christ can take root and spread throughout the surrounding community.
““We ran into Fanta Toure at the door of her house. She was holding a calabash and an empty bottle to go to the shop and borrow rice and oil to prepare for her family to stay home. When we told her that the bag of rice and the bottle of oil we were holding was for her and her family, she was speechless and silent for a minute. Fanta Toure was happy and greatly surprised that we gave it to her for free. She then continued: “If everyone was Christian the world would be really different.” - “And what will prevent you from becoming a Christian?” we asked. It was an open door for the Gospel.””
