NEW COVENANT SCHOOL OF MISSIONS (NCSOM) /

NEW COVENANT INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY (NCIU)

PURPOSE

To train and equip indigenous church planters and those called into ministry to ably fulfill their callings. The goal is to give students sound education in Theology and missions, enabling them to effectively spread the gospel through evangelism and church planting amongst the unreached/ unengaged people’s groups in Africa, and systematically disciple and mentor believers in the local churches.

HISTORY

The initial idea to launch the New Covenant School of Missions (NCSOM) was conceived out of the dire need to train and equip New Covenant Missions (NCM) church planters and national coordinators who are taking the gospel to the unreached/ unengaged peoples throughout Africa. The thought is to provide them standardized, quality theological and missiological education, enabling them to effectively reach the lost, plant, and lead the new churches.

In late 2019, Rev. Erik Laursen, President/ CEO of NCM, started discussions with New Covenant International University (NCIU) in Florida USA, resulting in an articulation agreement between NCIU and NCSOM in October 2020. With this, credits acquired at NCSOM will be considered as credits from NCIU, and certificates and degrees will be awarded by NCIU.

Located in Accra, Ghana, West Africa, NCSOM launched its certificate and bachelors programs in March 2021. We offer both in person and online remote curriculum.
