Niger sits in the heart of West Africa’s Sahel, where the need for the Gospel remains great. Across the country, many communities are still waiting for a clear witness of Jesus, and many new believers have few places to turn for encouragement, teaching, and discipleship.

That is why the local church matters so deeply. A church is more than a place to meet - it becomes a spiritual home where believers can grow, leaders can be raised up, and the hope of Christ can begin to take root in the surrounding community.

Zeinabou grew up in a Muslim home and attended Quranic school, but began to question what she believed. After meeting our team and learning about Jesus, she stayed connected, even in the face of opposition.

Eventually, she stepped into a church, heard the Gospel clearly, and gave her life to Christ. Today, she is experiencing the joy of living with Jesus.

Stories like this show why local churches matter. When a church is present, people have a place to seek truth, hear the Gospel, and begin a new life in Christ.
