Ethiopia is home to a rich diversity of peoples and cultures across the Horn of Africa. While the Gospel has a strong presence in many parts of the country, more than 23 million people still live among unreached people groups, and many communities remain in need of a clear Gospel witness and locally led churches.
That is why the local church matters so deeply. A church is more than a place to meet, it becomes a spiritual home where believers can grow, leaders can be raised up, and the hope of Christ can take root and spread throughout the surrounding community.
““I received Jesus Christ as my personal savior through the preaching of Terefe. I was a nominal Muslim believer as part of family obligation I was sick and weak as a result of my addictions. I was hopeless and did not have peace in my life. That was the time that Tere shared with me the Good News. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior in 2021. I got baptized in the same year in Asela Meserte Kristos Church. Now, I’ve become a disciple of Jesus and I am ready to serve Him the rest of my life.””
