NCM ACTIVE AMONG 12 PEOPLE GROUPS, WITH A PRIMARY FOCUS ON 3 UNREACHED PEOPLE GROUPS

Benin sits along the coast of West Africa and is home to a diverse mix of peoples and religious traditions. While the Gospel has taken root in parts of the country, more than 2.7 million people still live among unreached people groups, and many communities remain in need of a clear Gospel witness and locally led churches.

That is why the local church matters so deeply. A church is more than a place to meet, it becomes a spiritual home where believers can grow, leaders can be raised up, and the hope of Christ can take root and spread throughout the surrounding community.

A few months ago, we began a small house fellowship in Pelima with just a handful of people eager to grow in their relationship with God. As they listened to the Word, their faith deepened, and their enthusiasm increased. This humble gathering has now become an official church, and a pastor has been appointed to lead them. This month, we officially launched the church. Our visit was a special moment of encouragement and spiritual growth.

Stories like this show why local churches matter. What begins as a small gathering around God’s Word can grow into a lasting church where believers are discipled, encouraged, and led by local pastors.
